Michael Taverna - President & Chief Executive Officer

Michael is a multi-talented entertainment industry veteran – he has written, directed, produced and distributed a host of notable films. These include MANAGUA with Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett Jr, and BY THE SWORD with Academy Award winning actor F. Murray Abraham. Mr Taverna joined Horizon Entertainment in 2001 as its Sales and Acquisition Executive and contributed to growing Horizon from 3 to 60 completed pictures. Among these were the highly acclaimed horror generes: RING, THE GRUDGE and DARK WATER. Throughout 2002, Mr Taverna set up theatrical releases for Japan’s Kadowkawa horror films across Europe. In addition, he Executive Produced HALLOWS END and SHADOWS OF THE DEAD. In 2004 he formed MonteCristo International as a sales, distribution and film production company; participating in the major film markets including Cannes, AFM, Berlin, MIP and Pusan. Concurrently, Mr Taverna continues to direct & develop feature film packages while establishing a strong network of foreign buyers worldwide.

Cindy Nelson - Business Development

Cindy Nelson-Mullen began here career in advertising as an account executive for various advertising agencies including DMB&B, Wells, Rich & Greene and Foot Cone & Belding in New York and London. After nearly a decade of working with such clients as Procter & Gamble, Nabisco, Norelco and Kraft General Foods, Ms. Nelson-Mullen moved to the production side of the advertising business and in 1993 established herself as an agent for directors of commercial productions in the US. In addition to representing directors, she also represented post-production services to the advertising industry. Concurrently, she produced several Off-Broadway plays, including John Patrick Shanley's THE DREAMER EXAMINES HIS PILLOW, at the Greenwich Street Theatre in NYC. Most recently, Ms. Nelson-Mullen developed a software technology for use on handheld computers.
